Kathleen Johnson
Kathleen Johnson was the daughter of Ruth Margaret Coppin and John Johnston. She was born in 1899 and died in 1916. Contributed by Kathleen Coolen.

David Coppin
David Coppin was born in 4 October 1842 the son of James Coppin (1796 to 1878) and Catherine McPhee (1798 to 1881) of Halifax. He was a solider in the Fenian Raids of 1866. He married Elizabeth McGuire of Portuguese Cove on 20 November 1864 at St. George's Anglican Church. David and Elizabeth had 13 children, and lived in Prospect and Halifax on and off for many years. Their children married Hardiman's, Power's, Johnson's, Ross's, and Doherty's. David died 19 March 1918 at his son-in-law James A. Ross's house on Dutch Village Road. David Coppin on a Bicycle and Elizabeth (McGuire) Coppin
Elizabeth McGuire was born 15 December 1843 , in Portuguese Cove to Daniel McGuire and Ann Perrin. Along with three of her sisters (Margaret R. Christian, Mary Eleanor Duggan, Susan Benning Coolen) she moved to Prospect after marrying David Coppin of Halifax. Elizabeth died at the age of 70 on 5 February 1914 in Prospect. Elizabeth (McGuire) Coppin and Elizabeth Hardiman
Elizabeth Welly was the daughter of Catherine Blanche Coppin and John O. Hardiman. She was the granddaughter of Elizabeth McGuire and David Coppin. She married Richard Welly and they had a daughter, Elizabeth, who is still alive. Contributed by James Ross.
Harold Ross (ca. 1907)
Harold Ross was the son of James A. Ross and May Lauretta Coppin was born 27 October 1905 in Halifax. Harold married Evangeline Brown in 1947 and they had four children. Harold passed away in 1992. Contributed by James Ross (son).

James A. Ross with May Lauretta Coppin and Harold Ross
James A. Ross was the son of James and Hannah Ross of Halifax. He was a photographer and owned a studio on Barrington street. He married May Lauretta Coppin (1875 to 1948) daughter of David Coppin and Elizabeth McGuire of Prospect on 19 April 1904 at the home of May's brother. James A. Ross passed away in 1950. They had two children Harold and Margaret. Contributed by James Ross (grandson).
Anne Louise Coppin
Louise Coppin was born 19 April 1879 and was the daughter of David Coppin and Elizabeth McGuire. She lived a long life and passed away 13 June 1952 . Louise never married and had no children. Contributed by James Ross.
Margaret and Harold Ross
The children of James A. Ross and May Lauretta Coppin of Halifax. Harold was born on 27 October 1905 and passed away in 1992. Margaret Louise was born 7 November 1909 and passed away 3 March 1986 . James Ross (son and nephew).
May Lauretta Coppin and the Barry Family
The two women are May Lauretta Coppin (1879 to 1948), daughter of David Coppin and Elizabeth McGuire (left) and the other is Olive Ross or commonly called Dot Christian (1873 to ?) daughter of Nicholas P. Christian and Margaret Ross McGuire. May and Dot were first cousins. The children are those of Dot Christian and her husband Edward Barry. They had four children and the boy is their son William, but the identities of the two girls are questionable at this time. They could be daughter Mary Lillian (b. 1895), daughter Nicola, or daughter Marjorie (?). Contributed by James Ross.
May Lauretta Coppin
May Lauretta Coppin was born 5 May 1879 in Prospect and was the daughter of David Coppin and Elizabeth McGuire. She married James A Ross of Halifax and they had two children. May died 26 October 1948 in Halifax. Contributed by James Ross (grandson).
The Coppin Sisters, and Their Daughters

This picture was taken sometime in the 1930s and it's the only known picture of the Coppin sisters together. May Ross died in 1948, Louise died in 1952, and Susan and Elizabeth died in 1961. Lydia Alice Christian was the daughter of William B. Christian and Mary C. Johnson. She was born 20 August 1872 in Prospect. She never married and passed away sometime after 1924. Contributed by Kathleen (Doherty) Coolen.
Elizabeth Hardiman and Bernard Doherty
Elizabeth and Bernard were first cousins. Elizabeth was the d/o John (Jono) Hardiman and Catherine Blanche Coppin. Elizabeth married Richard Welly. Bernard Doherty was the son of Joseph Doherty and Elizabeth Coppin and was born 28 June 1902 in Prospect. Bernard moved to Boston sometime in the 1930s. Contributed by Kathleen (Doherty) Coolen.
